US colon cancer rate dropped 30% among over 50s in past decade
Over 50
The incidence of colon cancer among people aged 50 or older in the United States fell 30% over the past decade, say a pair of reports from the American Cancer Society
The reports credit the decline in incidence on the widespread uptake of colonoscopy screening, which almost tripled among adults aged 50-75 years, from 19% in 2000 to 55% in 2010.
